We’re always inspired by the range of garments the Sewing Bee stars create during the series and if you’re keen to get involved at home, there are plenty of Sewing Bee patterns available to inspire your next project.

For fans of the show looking for Great British Sewing Bee patterns, the pattern challenge from this year’s Kids’ Week – a dragon dressing gown – is now available online for free.

Discussing the challenge, judge Patrick Grant said, “We’ve chosen it because it’s kind of fun. But also it’s an interesting challenge to give them a fabric that we’ve never given them before.”

The cute belted dressing gown is made from cotton towelling and detailing includes eyes, teeth and spikes.

The news that this Sewing Bee pattern would be available for free was announced on the Sewing Bee‘s Twitter account, with the team saying: “Bedtime is even more roarsome with our dragon dressing gown”.

The popular sewing competition returned to BBC1 on Wednesday 24 May and the sewers have been competing to impress judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young. This year’s Sewing Bee finalists have now been decided – we can’t wait wait to see what they create in the series’ final episode.
